Hospitality Sunday

St. Elizabeth's Church initiated an event many years ago called Hospitality Sunday.  The purpose of the event was to let our parishioners stay around a few extra minutes after Mass, get to know each other, and enjoy some refreshments rather than join the mad dash for their cars and participate in the asphalt olympics to leave.  The refreshments are provided by one of our many parish organizations who take turns hosting the event.

For the Knights, on one occasion, we presented donuts and coffee, at another time, especially around the birthday of the Council, we supplied birthday cakes and punch for each of the Masses.  There is also an underlying motive for making sure that we participate in the Hospitality Sundays and put our name out in front of people.  That's right, you guessed it!!  It's a great opportunity to recruit new members.

Hospitality Sundays are usually held on the first Sunday of the month in the Spring through Fall months.  We do not hold this event during the winter months for obvious reasons.
