Ladies Day of Prayer |
The Ladies group at St. Elizabeth church is called the Roses of St. Elizabeth. Every year, they hold their annual Ladies Day of Prayer. The members of St. Elizabeth Council prepare and serve the ladies lunch.

This year's Chef and Menu Master is Brother Jim Kiehm. This is the second year in a row that Jim has put together the menu for the Ladies Day of Prayer and with good reason.
Jim's late wife Mary Ann Kiehm was a very involved individual with St. Elizabeth Church in general and the Roses of St. Elizabeth in particular. It was she who initiated the Ladies Day of Prayer. Mary Ann was also the one who designed and put together the original menu which consisted of a chicken salad croissant sandwich, or another ingredient, and a fruit salad.
No one person can do all that has to be done. Thanks to the efficiencies of the menu, the number of kitchen help can be minimal.
In our picture to the left, Chief Chef Jim Kiehm is discussing items with, from left to right, Brother Mike Donnelly, Brother and Council Grand Knight Tim Crews, and Brother and Assembly 2246's Color Corps Commander Greg Dessel.
In addition to their kitchen duties, Brothers Mike Donnelly and Greg Dessel will also act as waiters.
Here's a closer look at the menu ingredients. Getting hungary yet?

The St. Christopher room makes its transition from a bland meeting room..... |
..into a fine dining room. Knights put a table cloth on each table, silverware, and althought at the time these pictures were taken, a simple flower arrangement is placed on each table as well. |
Waiting for the event to occur, we find, from left to right, Brothers Dick Jones, Waiters Ed Kantack, and Andy Dyson. Brother Dick Jones assists in the setting up of the room and coordinating of the waiters. |
