The Knights of Columbus primary function in the world is to be a provider of talent and treasure for charitable purposes. Many of the charitable activities that we get involved in have been reviewed and sanctioned by Supreme as worthy of our participation.
As we're coming to find out, there are some other charitable causes that, while not officially endorsed by the Knights of Columbus, do merit our review and consideration. Sending donations to these charities is not something that is mandatory but, upon review by the individual Knight and his family, if the specific situation is worthy of one's participation, then we do not stand in the way.
Nonetheless, before we go any further, it is necessary to include some legalese so that there is no misunderstanding as to the intent of this page's information. All information presented on this page is not to be considered, either directly or indirectly an endorsment by St. Elizabeth Council 8747, St. Joseph Chapter, or the California State Chapter of the Knights of Columbus. The information presented on this page comes to us from individual Brother Knights who have found something worthy in the information presented to merit our individual investigation and consideration.
